HOW IT WORKS

The USARS Scootering National Ranking System for the current 2025-26 seasons evaluates athletes' performances across the Men's, Women's, Junior, and Beginner divisions. Ranking points are assigned according to a athletes placement at official USARS Scootering events and World Skate international competitions. These accumulated points determine the current National Ranking position for each athlete. The ranking system features three tiers of events where riders can earn official National Ranking points:

Tier 1 = Nationals
Tier 2 = World Skate/USARS Recognized International Events
Tier 3 = Qualifiers or Smaller USARS Sanctioned events

*For international events scheduled in the first half of the 2025 season, the committee will use a combination of the current rankings, the 2024 rankings, and past performances to issue invites to athletes for those events. We will be using the current rankings heavily in our decision makings but due to only having 2 qualifiers before said events occur, we must consider other factors to ensure we are inviting the best team to represent the United States abroad.

  • TIER 3 EVENTS

Tier 3 events are events like our qualifiers or smaller sanctioned youth competitions held all over the country. Starting at 10k for 1st, each subsequent placement is awarded 15% less points until we reach 0.

    Example:
    1st Place = 10,000 Points
    2nd Place = 8,500 Points
    3rd Place = 7,225 Points

  • TIER 2 EVENTS

Tier 2 events are events like World Skate Pro Tour competitions. These are international competitions that have the highest level of competition that are sanction/hosted by World Skate. These events will require an USARS Scootering invite to participate, making participation in our Tier 3 events incredibly important. Tier 2 events are worth 2.5x more than Tier 3.

    Example:
    1st Place = 25,000 Points
    2nd Place = 21,250 Points
    3rd Place = 18,063 Points

  • TIER 1 EVENTS

Tier 1 events such as our Nationals competition held at the end of every season are awarded the maximum number of points per placement. Tier 1 events are worth 5x more than our Tier 3 events.

    Example:
    1st Place = 50,000 Points
    2nd Place = 42,500 Points
    3rd Place = 36,125 Points
